Jacqueline Fernandez, a Sri Lankan model and actor, is active primarily in Indian films. Jacqueline Fernandez is her 2007. Miss Sri Lanka Universe winner. Coming from a family of Canadian, Sri Lankan, and Malaysian descent, Fernandez spent the early part of her life in Bahrain. Her degree is in mass communications from University of Sydney. She had a lengthy stint in the field of television reporting within Sri Lanka before she entered the modeling world. She was one of Sri Lanka's most sought-after models after representing her country in Miss Universe 2006. As part of a professional travel in India in 2009 Jasmine was cast in the role of Aladin by Sujoy Ghosh. In 2011 she was scouted for the part of Priya, the female lead on "Murder 2". The film received commercial and critical hit, leading to a thriving business for Fernandez. She has since starred in films such as Housefull 2 and 3, 'Race 2', 'Definition of Fear' and the film 'Judwaa'. She has been an ambassador for various companies, and has won several accolades. She is an active volunteer in the community and supports a variety of organizations and causes.
