Lisa Edelstein was an American actor who gained notoriety for her role as the main character of Fox's House medical show. When she turned 18 years old, Lisa relocated to New York City from Wayne where she was raised according to traditional Jewish traditions. She became very involved with the clubs in New York City, and was able to be heard in the press. At the same time, she was becoming more conscious of AIDS' devastating effects. She then merged her fame and talent with her writing skills and composition abilities in the production of a play titled Positive Me. Soon after she was employed by MTV to be the host of Awake On The Wild Side. Following the end of the series the show, she began appearing on films and television productions initially in smaller roles. She gradually established her acting career.
